Nice Peter's most recent live album, recorded in Long Beach, CA at DiPiazza's Lava Lounge. This solo album has tons of improv, it makes me laugh, I hope you like it.
Nice Peter's most recent studio album. Recorded in 2008 while locked in a bedroom for one month. People have said this is my most musical set of songs, see if you agree. I like it, and I hope you do too.
Nice Peter's second studio album. Recorded and mixed by Michael Kolar at Soundscape Studios in Chicago, IL. This one has the second string of hits, recorded at a higher quality than my other albums. Also features my 9 minute opus about smoking weed, recorded in one take with drummer Matt Donehoo and the legendary Pauly Doerr on bass.
This was a super high energy set, recorded in Preston, England. Featuring Kristen Regester on drums, a great crowd, and lot's of improv. Special thanks to Ed Monk, for booking the show, promoting the show, recording the show, and being wasted during the show.
This is my favorite album, I gotta admit. Recorded over two years in a collection of bedrooms and basements, Songs For Moms has all my original demos, when I was just Pete Shukoff with a guitar and a microphone and limitless tracks of overdubs. This album also features the Bush Song, Popsi, Make Up Sex, and a few others I don't get around to playing live much these days. This is where it all started for me, and I think it still holds up.
The picture for this album almost makes me cry. That's me, Kristen Regester, and Pauly Doerr, the original Nice Peter band line up. We took that photo in Pauly's bathroom with a camera on a timer. This "album" is a collection of B-sides, stuff that didn't make the albums, but some of my favorites. It goes way back to the early years when our band photo was taken in a bathroom, and it's got some of my favorites. It's called B-Sides for Kate, because a lady named Kate asked me to put up All I Got (The Christmas Song). The collection needed a name, and that kinda stuff always gives me a sense of purpose. So here it is: B-Sides For Kate.
